If you're looking for a niche store script to monotize your site with, then consider all of the benefits PHPBay brings to the table. Hooking this script up with your Ebay Partner Network account on a Wordpress blog makes for a very powerful way to make money with your website without annoying the heck out of your visitors.
Let's look at the 5 best benefits this niche store script offers.
1. Flexibility
You can put PHPBay ads where you want them to appear on your blog post, as well as the number of items you want it to display. You can choose to list products based off of keywords, the highest or lowest priced items first, items from different countries, along with countless other options at your disposal. Intertwine PHPBay ads between the content in your posts for the best earnings potential - other scripts won't allow you to do this and are unfortunately very limited with what they can do.
2. Easy to Use
The PHPBay plugin is very easy to use. You install it just like any other Wordpress plugin, with an upload by FTP and one-click activation via your control panel.
Once the plugin is activated a one line code can be placed in your posts when you want the PHPBay ads to appear. The only thing you need to know is what keyword (item) you want PHPBay to display and how many different items you want it to display.
3. Unlimited Products to Promote
There's no doubt about it, the Ebay marketplace is vast. The nice thing about this is that there's an unlimited amount of different products to promote. Create a niche store about lawnmowers, brand clothing, computer parts, sunglasses - pretty much whatever! No longer will you have to hassle with finding quality affiliates, and then worry about whether or not they will accept you into their program or not. Just plug and play with the PHPBay script on each of your websites and you're good to go.
4. High Earnings Potential
The Ebay Partner Network is very generous with the commissions they give their affiliates. Not only do you get a revenue share on the bids your referrals make, but if they sign up for a new account with Ebay and become an active bidder you will receive a whopping $25 for referring that new customer. A large portion of my monthy earnings comes from new accounts, I'd say it's roughly 50/50.
5. For Use with Wordpress: Handsdown The Best Blogging Software On the Internet
Before I even knew about PHPBay I was using Wordpress to manage the content on my websites. The reasons were simple: Google absolutely loved Wordpress blogs! The SEO benefits, pinging capabilities, and the vast amount of plugins I could use to make my site do amazing things were just a couple of the reasons I went with wordpress. Managing my content is super easy, and if I want to change the look of my blog I don't have to pay for an expensive redesign - I just upload a new theme and activate it with the click of a button.
When you make a new website consider the powerful combination Wordpress + PHPBay has and test the earnings you get. Chances are you will be pleasantly suprised on the earnings you get from the traffic you receive.
7 Simple Affiliate Marketing Tips for Success

These fundamental tips will help you earn online if you're not already, or help you earn more if you're neglecting any of these in the list.
Select a Niche You Know About Or Have An Interest In
This is one of the most common pieces of advice I have seen online. While it's not necessary to choose a topic you know about, a small amount of interest is at least required or you WILL get tired of working on a website on a topic you could care less about.
The benefits of working on a niche you're interested in is twofold. It will be easy to keep yourself motivated to work on the site because you actually enjoy working on it, and when you write content you will be able to call on your expertise to produce quality content that people are actually interested in reading or will find useful.
Banners Just Don't Convert
Slapping up a couple banners on your site is unfortunately not the way to get affiliate sales. Not only will this make your site really ugly if you have a lot of banners, but they just won't earn you much.
You need incontent links and banners where the user's eyes actually are. This is one of the reasons why I like using PHPBay - it's so simple to insert a couple relevant Ebay auctions which my readers are going to see and click on.
Diversify Your Income Streams
It's never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket. Another easy way to profit from your site is with Google Adsense - personally Adsense earns me roughly 30% of my online revenue each and every month. If something happens with any of my other revenue streams then I can always count on Adsense to bring me money each and every month.
Experiment with other relevant affiliate programs that look promising. Test, test, test - see what converts for you and what doesn't.
Targeted Traffic is Your Lifeblood
Without traffic you will not see any earnings at all.
But, the keyword here is TARGETED. I see too many webmasters participating in things like surf or traffic exchanges, or worse yet outright buying traffic. Whether or not these visitors from these programs are even real at all, I'm not sure. But there's one thing I do know, they are certainly not targeted in any way.
Chances are they have no interest in your site or your topic, so you will see no clicks or sales from participating in these kinds of programs.
Your best bet is either through natural free search traffic from Google, or targeted PPC campaigns.
Quality Content and Links Are Vital
These two aspects will make or break a website. A website can have a great link profile but if it's content is junk it will suffer tremendously. And the sword cuts the other way as well, if your content is awesome but you have very few links don't expect much in terms of traffic.
What you need to do is focus on both of them relatively equally - though some argue you should spend the majority of your time building links. Whatever you do, just don't neglect either one!
Don't Forget Targeted Keyword Research
With keyword research you will be able to find out what you should focus your articles on, and what anchor texts you should be using when you build backlinks to your site.
For the newer sites I build I like to focus my efforts on uncompetitive niche keywords because I strive to get that site earning for me as quickly as possible. I have also noticed by focusing on content which Google has very little information on, often times I will avoid the dreaded Google Sandbox.
See if this also happens to you.
Your Domain Is the First Thing They Will See, Make It Good
While you don't have to spend $1,000+ on a premium domain, I don't advise using .info or domains with 5 hyphens in them. There are plenty of relevant brandable domains still on the market, you just have to brainstorm for them.
If you're stuck for ideas, it might be a good idea to have someone else do the thinking for you. Services like pickydomains.com will send you plenty of domains you might want to register, or you can run a domain suggestion contest on your favorite webmaster forum.
Education Is Never-Ending, This Industry Changes Fast
If one things for sure, the internet is constantly changing and at a fast pace. Read at least an article a day to keep abreast of these changes, the last thing you want to do is keep yourself in a cave. The industry is becoming more and more competitive as time goes on, so keeping yourself educated on these new changes is a must.
Building a Niche Store: The Importance of Niche Keyword Research

If you want to get targeted free traffic for your niche store, then there's no question about it - you're going to need to target specific, quality keywords.
I see many websites who just don't do this properly. Many times they target general keywords which are neither targeted and often times just too competitive to get a decent ranking in search engines.
The nice thing about working with the Ebay Partner Network is that you can take long tail keywords that would otherwise be impossible to monotenize with other affiliate programs (or at least not as easy as this), drive targeted buyers to our pages, and make sales.
Niche Keyword Research Explained
Let's give an example.
Say for instance I am building a niche store centered around the popular women's shoe brand Steve Madden.
Let's hop on over to the free keyword research tool at SEOTools and type in the keyword "Steve Madden".
At the top of the list is "Steve Madden" with 323 Google searches a day. It would be nice to rank decently for this search term because of the traffic, but chances are it will bring a handful of people looking for information about the football player named Steve Madden and these surfers would be pretty useless to me since they would not turn into buyers.
The next term is "Steve Madden Shoes" and this would be the ideal term to rank our new website with. 224 searchers per day looking for Steve Madden shoes so this would translate into a nice amount of sales per day depending on what kind of rankings we had with Google. With 549,000 results in Google it's definitely an obtainable term to rank for, but for newer sites I like to go deeper and find more targeted terms which aren't as competitive.
If we look further on the list we can find the term "Steve Madden Barnum Shoes" with 8 searchers per day. This is where things get really fun. Most sites do not try to rank for small terms like this - but don't make the same mistake and neglect these kinds of terms! Here's 8 people per day which are looking for a very specific product and if you can deliver it to them chances are they are going to buy. Match the right keyword with the right product, rank for the term so you can receive some traffic, and you will make sales.
Imagine if we captured #1 spots on 10 of these uncompetitive, yet highly targeted terms? You would see decent earnings each and every day.
But does Ebay have a consistent supply of this style of shoe? Doing a search on Ebay I find 3 auctions for these shoes, and 8 store listings. Awesome!
Quick Tip: If you use premium keyword research tools like Keyword Discovery or Wordtracker they will organize keywords by KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index) - these are the easiest terms you can rank for.
After You Have the Keyword
Utilizing PHPBay we can create a quality, unique article centered around "Steve Madden Barnum Shoes". Write as much or as you want - but I recommend at the bare minimum 200-300 words when it comes to your article length. Make your articles sound as personal as possible, don't sound like a fact spitting robot - people generally don't like reading these kinds of articles.

Inserting the PHPBay Code in the middle of our article displaying Steve Madden Barnum Shoes for sale will get us clicks and sales as people interested in these shoes read our article.
Naturally insert the keyword a couple times, but don't overdo it. Put it in the title, first paragraph, and sprinkled a couple times throughout the article depending on the length. If the keyword appears too much Google will recognize this and penalize it so it will be harder to get a decent rank for it.
Somewhere in the content insert your PHPBay code for "Steve Madden Barnum Shoes".
Next, we need to build links to this article so your potential customers can see it on the front page of Google. I will talk more about this soon.
